Belgaum: The incident took place in Sultanpur village of Rayabhaga taluk of Belgaum district where a mother committed suicide by falling into a well along with her two daughters. It is said that she was tired of her husband’s harassment and committed suicide.
Saraswati Kirave (26) of the village and her children Deepika (7) and Raabtaka (4) are the unfortunate dead.
Saraswati was married to Kiran, a resident of Sangli, Maharashtra. However, it is alleged that Kiran was an alcoholic and harassed her daily.
Unable to bear his harassment, Saraswati returned to her native house eight months ago. Now, she has committed suicide.
Saraswati and her children have been missing since Wednesday morning. When she was searched, her dead body was found in a garden well.
Harugeri police visited the place and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at Harugeri police station.
