PM Modi to flag-off 2nd Vande Bharat train in the route of Varanasi-Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bharat Express train on 18 December. The second Vande Bharat Express will be running between the cities of Varanasi and New Delhi today. The train will be flagged off at around 2:15 pm.

While today is the inaugural run of the train from Varanasi to New Delhi. However, the regular operation of the Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to take place after two days, i.e. from December 20, 2023 onwards.

As per the statement which is issued by the Northern Railway, the colour of the second Vande Bharat train will be saffron and is also has multiple new features added to its existing framework of features.

The Northern Railways has also stated, “The train has superior passenger amenities such as onboard Wi-Fi infotainment, GPS-based passenger information system, plush interiors, bio-vacuum toilets with touch-free conveniences, diffused LED lighting, charging points beneath every seat, individual touch-based reading lights and concealed roller blinds.”

While, speaking of the timing of the trains, the train would start from 6:00 am from Varanasi and will be scheduled to reach New Delhi at 2:05 pm. After that, the train will depart from Varanasi station after 55 minutes at 3:00 pm and will reach New Delhi at 11:05 pm.

“It has also got better heat ventilation and air-conditioning system with UV lamp for germ-free supply of air. The intelligent air-conditioning system adjusts the cooling according to the climate conditions/occupancy,” Northern Railways added to their earlier statement.
