PM Modi undertakes a sortie on Tejas Aircraft

Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a sortie on Tejas aircraft on Saturday and shared his first time experience on being of the aircraft as an experience which nearly bolstered him and made him proud about the indigenous capabilities of the nation.

Modi, who has been continuously putting stress on Make In India project reminded the capabilities of India and stated that the country can produce each and everything in the homeland instead of importing it from other countries. The Prime Minister took to X handle (formerly known as twitter) and shared his first ever experience on taking a ride on Tejas. He wrote: “The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country’s indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential.” Layer, he added by writing: “Flying in Tejas today, I can say with immense pride that due to our hard work and dedication, we are no less than anyone in the world in the field of self-reliance. Heartiest congratulations to the Indian Air Force, DRDO and HAL as well as all Indians”.

Modi arrived in Bangalore earlier today and visited Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for reviewing the ongoing work at its manufacturing facilities, officials said. He has been pushing for the indigenous production of the defence products and also kept on highlighting that how the ruling government has boosted their manufacturing in India which has also in its export section.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that in the month of April, India’s defence exports have reached an ultimate high of Rs 15,920 crore in 2022-2023 which was a remarkable achievement for the country.
