Ramulu claims Siddaramaiah eyeing at KPCC post of DKS

Bagalkot; 04 Jan: Claiming that the cold war taking place between KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar and Former Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah over the post of KPCC Chief’s post, Minister for Social Welfare B. Sriramulu has said that there is a tough fight going on between the two leaders to clinch on the prominent posts.

Speaking to reporters here, Sriramulu said that Siddaramaiah carries a fear of getting sidelined in the party in the coming days.

“ He is making every effort to snatch the KPCC presidency from Shivakumar and take charge of the Congress in the state. In this fight let Shivakumar save his position”, challenged Sriramulu.

With regard to Siddaramaiah reportedly expressing desire to become Chief Minister for another term, Sriramulu said that, even in dreams he will not become CM for another term as there is already a fight among the Congress leaders.

“Moreover, many leaders in Congress will not allow Siddaramaiah from becoming Chief Minister in future”, reiterated Minister of Social Welfare.

To a question on whether Sriramulu is one of the aspirants for Deputy Chief Minister chair, he said that, he was not the aspirant but the people across the state want him to become DCM.

“I am not a leader who came recently to the party but worked from the grass-root level to build a party across the state. The party high command will take a call on appointing me as DCM in future and I am bound to their decision”, firmly stated Sriramulu.

Lashing out at the opposition party, Sriramulu said, “It is Congress that created rumours about the change in state leadership. B S Yediyurappa will remain as Chief Minister for next two and half years. However, the CM chair is not vacant for others to occupy. Not even discussions are being held in the BJP regarding the change of Chief Minister.”

Revealing the status of giving 7.5 percent reservation to Scheduled Tribes in the state, Minister of Social Welfare Sriramulu said that, “A cabinet sub-committee under my leadership has constituted. The pros and cons will be discussed and take a final decision on the same.”
