Rs.100 coins released on the occasion of NTR’s birth centenary

New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu released a coin to mark the birth centenary of the late actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao (NTR).

It is said to be a Rs.100 coin.

The coin was released at a function held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on Monday, On this occasion, NTR’s family was present.

NTR became popular with his roles in Ramayana Mahabharata. Murmu released the coin and said that he was the voice of people’s pains and sufferings in the films he was acting in.

NTR ventured into politics and served the people as an exemplary leader. Many of his popular programs are still popular today. He celebrated that he had won the hearts of the Telugu people.

Meanwhile, Murmu congratulated the Finance Department for bringing out the coin. NTR was born on May 28, 1923, in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He was the chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh three times.
