In the wake of the ‘Operation Hasta’ debate in state politics, the government has sanctioned a grant of Rs.7.63 crore to BJP MLA ST Somashekhar’s constituency.
Rs.7.63 crore for Yeshavantpur assembly constituency where ST Somashekhar is MLA. Grant is given. By that, the suspicion of joining Congress has become stronger. This has led to a debate in the BJP camp as well.
Grants have been given for drinking water to Herohalli and Kengeri parts. Rs.1.63 crore. Reserved for water supply tankers. It is learned that a grant of Rs.4 crore has been earmarked for drilling a new borewell and Rs.2 crore for maintenance.
It is reported that DK Shivakumar tried to take ST Somasekhar into confidence by releasing grants.
Hundreds of Somasekhar’s supporters and former corporators joined the Congress in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC State President DK Shivakumar till yesterday.
