RSS-inspired organisation preserves 16th century Quran

At the 108th Indian Science Congress (ISC) now taking place here in Maharashtra, a rare 16th-century copy of the Holy Quran inscribed in gold ink and conserved by a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-inspired organization is placed on exhibit.

There are only four copies of this sacred book in the entire world, according to a representative of the organisation that displayed the gold-ink Quran on Tuesday.

The Research For Resurgence Foundation (RFRF), a Nagpur-based organisation, set up a booth at the ISC expo where it presented a copy of the Quran and several historical manuscripts, some of which were thought to be centuries old.

The Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal’s research wing, RFRF, strives to preserve old Indian knowledge systems and implement them in the modern era.
