Journalist Siddique Kappan walks out of bail after spending more than 2 years in jail.
Siddique Kappan was on his way to cover the Hathras gang rape in Uttar Pradesh when he was arrested and charged with UAPA. He was granted bail by Allahabad High Court in a PMLA case.
After his release, Kappan said, “I have come out of jail after 28 months. I want to thank the media for supporting me. False allegations were put against me. I am happy to be out now,” as quoted by ANI.
