Raichur: Raichur Slum Residents’ Action Forum led a protest in front of the District Collector’s Office that the plots allotted under Vajpayee’s Urban Development Plan should be developed and distributed to the landless.
“Nearly all people living in many slums of the city are living in rented houses and tents without a plot. “The land was allotted in 2017 in Vajpayee’s urban development plan, but in survey no. 581, 929/2, 726/727, they have only distributed the title deeds and not allotted the land,” the protestors alleged.
“The land allotted to the poor has been encroached by land grabbers. He demanded that the land should be surveyed immediately, a check should be made, the land should be developed and the land should be allotted.
On this occasion, organization president Janardhana Hallibenchi, Organization secretary Basavaraja Hosur, Noorjan, G Raju, Venkatesh Bhandari, Viresha, Jambanna, and others were present.
