Yamuna Expressway accident kills five near Noida

Five people lost their lives while the rest of the three others- all children, were injured after there Eco van was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Yamuna Expressway in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday as reported by the police. The accident took place at around 1 am on Saturday.

The four people who died aged between 30-40 years, while the fifth deceased was a minor of 12 years of age, as reported by the police officials. He also told that the rest of the three children are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Jewar and these children aged between 8 to 16 years.

A senior police official from Greater Noida said: “Eight people, including three children, were travelling towards Jewar in an Eeco van bearing Delhi registration number when an unidentified vehicle hit the van and fled the spot. A police team reached the spot and rushed all of the passengers to the hospital.” The passengers were the residents of Kalindi Kunj in Delhi, according to the police.

The officer added: “We have contacted the other family members of the victims, and further investigation is underway.” The police has launch their investigation and had been looking into the matter where they are trying to identify the vehicle which hit the van.
