The Gurugram police in Haryana is under attack on Twitter for allotting public places for Namaz. Several locals have opposed the public offering of Namaz by Muslims in the locality.
Responding to a Twitter user, who shared an unverified video showing people protesting against the public namaz, the Gurugram police on September 27 tweeted, “The ‘Namaz’ spots at public places have been decided by both communities Hindus and Muslims after mutual understanding and this place is one among them. Maintaining communal harmony and peace is our utmost responsibility and we will ensure that.”
The official Gurugram police account also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Haryana Police in its tweet.

However, it didn’t go well with the public and are now storming Twitter. They’re asking that public namaz should be banned in the locality. Meanwhile there are some others who are calling this as fiasco ‘Islamophobic.’
