Kaziranga National Park Sees Gradual Flood Water Recession

Kaziranga, Assam: The Assam flood situation has left 95 forest camp areas within Kaziranga National Park inundated. However, officials report that the floodwaters are now gradually receding.

Kaziranga National Park, home to a significant population of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, faced severe flooding following heavy monsoon rains. Despite the extensive flooding, park authorities remain vigilant and are closely monitoring the water levels.

Efforts are underway to ensure the safety of the wildlife and minimize the impact of the flood on the park’s ecosystem. The gradual subsiding of floodwaters brings a ray of hope for the restoration of normalcy in the park.
