Prashant Kishore’s accuses Nitish of continuing relations with BJP, Nitish reacts

Nitish Kumar today charged the election strategist, Prashant Kishore of seeking attention after the latter accused Nitish of continuing communications with the BJP even after leaving it. The Bihar Chief Minister told reporters that the man was young and would say anything.

“Kindly don’t ask me about him. He keeps talking. He speaks for his own publicity and can say whatever he wants, we don’t care. There was a time when I respected him…I don’t know what’s on his mind now,” Nitish Kumar told reporters.

Prashant Kishor, also known as PK, has been needling Nitish Kumar with the notion that, after severing connections with the BJP and re-embracing the RJD of Tejashwi Yadav in August, he may switch allegiances once more if the need arises.
That would mark Nitish Kumar’s third switch since 2017, when he ended his alliance with the RJD and resumed it with the BJP.

Mr. Kishor has often attacked Nitish Kumar and referred to him as “affected by age,” “delusional,” and politically isolated.

He added that Nitish Kumar has had the support of the BJP for 14 of the 17 years he has served as chief minister.

Prashant Kishor made his political debut as the national vice president of Nitish Kumar’s JDU. He has a long list of customers that includes the BJP, the Congress, and Trinamool Congress. In January 2020, less than two years later, he was ousted for “acting against the party’s decisions.”

Since then, despite a few interactions in between, both have publicly criticized one another.
