Bidar: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new Anubhava Mantap at a cast of Rs 500 crores at Basavakalyan in Bidar district and said that the magnificent structure will be completed within two years.
Addressing a mega spiritual gathering in Basavakalyan Mr Yeddyurappa said that the Anubhava Mantap in Basavakalyan, the abode of great mysticism, spiritual awakening and religious discourse, emerged as a fountainhead of an egalitarian renaissance in the 12 century and is regarded as the genesis of Parliamentary democracy in Indian history, he said.
Yeddyurappa said that the Basavanna thinking was relevant to this crucial time and this mega-structure will be completed within the two years and the state government has already released Rs 100 crores for the purpose and Rs 200 crore has been released today, he announced.
He said that on the compilation of the work, Prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this spiritual centre and more than 3 lakh people will gather for the program he said before laying the foundation stone.
The chief minister took a pledge that the construction work should be completed in the next two years.
Speaking on the occasion, district in-charge and Animal Husbandry minister Prabhu Chauhan said an era of development began in Bidar district and Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa will keep his words on the development works.
