Six flights were diverted after lightning struck the Manohar International Airport (MIA) in Goa, damaging the runway edge lights, an official reported. The incident occurred at around 5:15 PM on Wednesday at the Mopa-based airport in North Goa.

A spokesperson for MIA stated, “A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was issued until 8 PM, during which the damaged lights were repaired, and normal airport operations resumed.”
