VHP, Bajrang Dal members thrash Muslim students in Surat

Two Muslim students were assaulted on the Mahaveer College campus in Surat by a gang of boys with handkerchiefs covering their faces and masks on their heads. The attack’s footage has been circulated widely on social media.

The two students were beaten up by men, who identified themselves as members of the Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and accused them of engaging in “love jihad.” However, the college administration has denied the accusations.

In the three-minute video, the men repeatedly kicked and punched the student while onlookers stood by. Even as the teachers interfered, they hauled him out while continuing to thrash and abuse him.

The VHP claimed that the attack was committed in self-defence and connected it to the brutal murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner.

The body of Shraddha Walker, who was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner in May, was dismembered and dumped in a Delhi jungle over a period of time.
