Haryana: Entry ban for Muslims; Transfer of the officer who had given notice to the Panchayat

The Haryana government has issued orders transferring 16 IAS officers, including IAS officer Mohammad Imran Raza, who issued notices to some sarpanchs (panchayat heads) and panchayat members in Rewari for passing resolutions banning Muslims from entering their villages.

The government has transferred 16 IAS officers including Deputy Commissioners of 7 districts and Municipal Commissioners of some districts.

In April, Raza took charge as Deputy Commissioner of Rewari. Now he has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Jind.

The state government said this is a general transfer of IAS and Haryana Civil Service officers. Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal issued the transfer order on Saturday.

Apart from Imran Raza, Sushil Sarwan was appointed as Panchkula DC and Chief Administrative Officer of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board in Panchkula. Manoj Kumar has been posted as DC of Yamunanagar. Mandeep Kaur Charkhi has been appointed as Dadri DC. Manoj Kumar has been appointed as Sonipat DC, Rahul Hooda as Rewari DC and Prashant Panwar as Fatehabad DC.
