Two Muslim youths’ murder case: Self-proclaimed cow vigilante Monu Manesar arrested

Haryana Police has arrested Monu Manesar, a self-proclaimed cow vigilante who was absconding in connection with the killing of two Muslim youths in Rajasthan and will hand him over to the Rajasthan Police.
In February, a case was registered against Monu Manesar in connection with the kidnapping and murder of two Muslim youths from Rajasthan. But he was missing for many months.
A prominent leader of the Bajrang Dal, he was a member of the District Cow Protection Task Force set up by the Haryana government after the implementation of the Cow Protection Act in 2015. He along with his accomplices used to attack cow traders and made their videos viral on social media.
Monu Manesar, who had released a video saying that he would participate in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad march in Nooh, was also accused of inciting the conflict in Nooh.
Nasir and Junaid, residents of Ghatmeeka village in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, were abducted by cow vigilantes on February 15. The next day, their bodies were found in a burnt car in Loharu, Bhiwani, Haryana. Rajasthan Police has filed a charge sheet in this case and has named Monu Manesar as an accused.
Besides, a 21-year-old youth named Waris was murdered in Nuh, Gurugram. Waris’ family had alleged that cow vigilantes led by Monu Manesar had killed him.
