I will be the CM of Karnataka till the end of government’s tenure: BSY

Hassan: After the BJP central leadership giving clear message to the party leaders and Ministers of the State that B. S. Yediyurappa will be the chief minister and the party has no plans to replace him, Yediyurappa has now openly announced that he will be the CM of Karnataka till the end of the tenure of the government.

“ I will be the Chief Minister of Karnataka for remaining period of the government and certainly no question of change in the guard”, he declared.

Speaking to media persons during his visit here, he said that on Thursday, General Secretary and In-charge of party affairs in Karnataka Arun Singh has also already clear the doubt about it so where is the question of replacement, he asked.

Asserting that he will continue to be CM so long the party high command allows him.

“The Prime Minister and other top central leaders have exuded confidence in me”, he said.

Yediyurappa said that he has decided to tour the State and do welfare works for them.

It may be noted a few days ago, some party leaders and Ministers had reportedly raise the banner of revolt against the CM by clandestinely trying to meet central leaders demanding replacement of Yediyurappa.

However, they reportedly got no positive response from the central leadership. It appears that Yediyurappa has emerged stronger again in the party in Karnataka.
