Four terrorists who were trying to sneak in through Pak occupied Kashmir were gunned down in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kupwara district on Friday. This is the second major infiltration attempt foiled by security forces in a week.
The exchange of fire took place near the LoC in Machil sector of Kupwara district. Kashmir Zone Police said that the terrorists were trying to sneak towards India from PoK.
The Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police opened fire after noticing the terrorists trying to infiltrate into the Indian side.
On June 16, five Pakistani terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Jumgund area of Kupwara district.
