A landmine explosion on Wednesday at Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the injury of three army personnel. This accident has taken place near the Line of Control (LoC) area.
The preliminary information from army suggests that, while the soldiers were patrolling the Phagwari Gali area, the landmines got activated. According to the officials’ statements as recorded by PTI, those mines were part of anti-infiltration obstacle system. Officials further suggested that, it was an accident as those mines got washed away from their original position by rain.
The injured soldiers were taken to military hospitals in Rajouri for specialised treatments.
