Statement against CM Soren: FIR against Jharkhand BJP president

Ranchi: A case has been registered against Jharkhand state BJP unit president Babulal Marandi in Kanke town for making hateful and derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s family.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) activist Sonu Tirkee has complained that a statement was made against Soren’s family during the ‘Sankalpa Yatra’ run by the BJP. Accordingly, the police registered an FIR on August 23.

An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 500 (defamation), Section 505 (public insult), and 504/2 (international mockery).

The BJP is furious that a case has been registered against the president of a party criticizing the BJP for the action against Marandi. This is the fourth ‘government-sponsored case’ registered against Marandi in recent times.

The remaining three cases are similar. Recorded in Latehar and Deoghar.

BJP’s ‘Sankalpa Yatra’ is getting massive support and criticized the ruling party for being confused.

Marandi also said that he would continue his Sankalpa Yatra till October 10 to free the state from hunger, corruption, and misrule.
