Bengaluru: The padayatra organized by BJP and JDS, intended to be a political march, has devolved into a “Clash March” from its very inception. Leaders from both parties have used this event to assert their political presence, resulting in internal and external conflicts.
On one side, there’s infighting within the BJP, with clashes between Okkaliga leaders and B.Y. Vijayendra, and further disputes between Yatnal’s team and Vijayendra’s team. Adding to the turmoil, there’s also significant friction between JD(S) and BJP, with today’s confrontation between party workers serving as a clear indication of the frailty of their alliance.
This escalating tension hints at a possible prelude to the end of their collaboration, marking the padayatra not as a journey of unity, but one of discord.
