BJP central leaders mulling to replace B S Yediyurappa ? Party sources said that leaders are convincing BSY to step down voluntarily

Bengaluru: After much deliberation, it now appears that the Central leadership of the BJP are in fevour of replacing the CM face of Karnataka, the news could bring smiles on the face of BJP leaders who have been seeking change of guard.

The sources in the BJP say that the party has been contemplating to replace B. S. Yediyurappa with some other persons to chair the post of CM of Karnataka.

It may be noted that several leaders and Cabinet Ministers have been making efforts to replace Yediyurappa and have already made this point clear before the High Command.

The party sources said that Bhupendra Yadav, the national general secretary has already held a closed door meeting with Yediyurappa in order to convince him to relinquish the post voluntarily.

Yediyurappa has also announced in public that if the party leaders want, then he will stop down.

The 78 year old Yediyurappa one of the oldest CMs of the country who took charge as CM for the fourth time in his career after the fall of Congress-JD(S) coalition government.

Interestingly, Arun Singh, the Karnataka’s in-charge of party has openly asserted that there is no proposal before the party to replace BSY.

Amid the reports of Central leaders mulling to replace Yediyurappa, Tourism Minster, C. P. Yogeshwar who has openly expressed reservation for BSY, is reportedly travelled to Delhi to meet party leaders. The son of BSY, Vijayendra too has flown to Delhi.
