Bengaluru: BJP MLA Munirathna from Rajarajeshwari Constituency is facing two separate FIRs filed at Vyalikaval police station, involving allegations of life threats and caste abuse.
In one case, BBMP contractor Cheluvaraj has accused Munirathna and three others of threatening his life over a solid waste disposal contract. Cheluvaraj claims that the MLA, along with government official Vijaykumar, secretary Abhishek, and Munirathna’s relative Vasantakumar, demanded ₹30 lakh. An FIR has been lodged against them.
In another incident, a second FIR was filed against Munirathna for caste abuse, following a complaint by Velunayak.
