Bangalore: Among the 5 guarantee schemes announced by the Congress party, the free travel scheme for women in the transport bus is being started from June 11, and a special ticket has been designed to give tickets to women.
Under the ‘Shakti scheme, women of all categories, including students, can travel free within the state in all buses except air-conditioned (AC) and luxury buses. BMTC has designed a special ticket to implement this ‘Shakti’ scheme. Women should get tickets in the bus. But no money has to be paid for it. This ticket bears the words “Women Passenger Free Ticket Shakti Yojana”.
It will also have information about where to travel from and to. But the space where rates are entered will be blank. Women should get this voucher without paying any money.
