Hate speech: 34 cases to be withdrawn by Karnataka government

The cases registered on Jagadish Karanth, correspondent of Hindu Jagarana Vedike and others of various Hindutva organizations for the hate speeches given during Hindu Samajotsava, Jana Jagrati Samavesha and protest against ‘Love Jihad’ to be withdrawn by Karnataka government.

These cases have been registered in various police stations of the state and some trials in various courts are pending. Earlier the DG IGP, Department of Prosecution and Government Litigation and legal departments had asked the government not to withdraw the cases.
