Hijab row: Muslim supervisor suspended in Rajajinagar for wearing hijab

A Muslim supervisor from the KTSV exam centre in Bengaluru was suspended on Monday for wearing Hijab on duty, prastutha news reported.

Noor Fathima was suspended KTSV exam in Rajajinagar was suspended for wearing a headscarf during supervision of 10th class board exams.

The Karnataka high court order on the hijab ban does not apply to teachers and supervisors. The court had upheld the state government’s ban on hijab inside educational institutions, saying that hijab is not an essential to practice of Islam.
