Hubli: Provocative statement; Case filed against Pramod Muthalik

A case has been registered in Hubli against Shri Ram Sena founder Pramod Muthalik, who made a provocative statement that he would install a Ganesha idol in a mosque as well.

Chandrasekhara Gowda, Assistant Commissioner of Mahanagara Corporation Zone 8, has filed a complaint against Muthalik for making provocative statements with the intention of hurting religious sentiments.

A case under section 153(a), 295(a) IPC has been registered against Muthalik at the Hubli Suburban Police Station.

Speaking to the media, Pramod Muthalik, who came to the Ganesha Vashkar program at Hubli Idgah Maidan, said that those who oppose the installation of Ganesha idol are anti-patriots and the Anjuman Committee are vile. We sit Ganapati in the mosque. We have the power to seat Ganesha in the mosque. We will go to court not to allow you to perform namaz in the field. This is not Pakistan, not Afghanistan, not your property.
