Karnataka: BJP minister says will give 6000 rs per vote, party distances itself from remarks

A former BJP minister in Karnataka made a remark that caused much uproar and embarrassed his party. Former water resources minister for the state, Ramesh Jarkiholi, stated that the BJP will pay 6,000 per vote in the upcoming assembly elections in May.

The BJP quickly dissociated itself from the former minister who was had to resign in 2021 due to his alleged involvement in a sex scandal.
