Bengaluru: Karnataka Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil directed the recruitment of 650 assistant professors and 1,200 nurses.
These positions will be filled through competitive exams conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), he announced.
During a meeting with department officials, Patil emphasized the importance of conducting transparent exams to fill vacancies in 33 government institutions across the state, which include 22 medical colleges and 11 super specialty hospitals.
The Minister also mentioned that the department’s recruitment bylaws would be amended to allow KEA to conduct the tests for these vacant posts.
