No Congress tickets to five or six sitting MLAs, including two women

Bangalore: Five or six current MLAs, including two women, would not be receiving tickets from the Congress party.

Shidlaghat, Lingasaguru, Pava Gada, Afajalpur, Kundagola, and Kalaburagi North, Bidar legislators almost certainly will not be given tickets. Many of them have already been contacted by state leaders. The Congress is now prepared to try something new.

There are now six women serving in the Legislative Assembly, and this time women are expected to receive tickets in fifteen different Constituencies. The Congress party has prepared a list of potential contenders.

The Muslim community has asked for tickets in 20 Constituencies, although the number is more likely to be between 12 and 15.
