Home Minister G.Parameshwar said that there is no need to worry. We had sent the ADGP of the Law and Order Department to the spot regarding the Shimoga riots. Now the situation is under control.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on Tuesday, he said, “What is the reason for the incident? “The police are investigating who is behind it,” he said.
“There was stone pelting by two religious people in the riot. “Some people have been arrested and the truth will be known after the investigation is over,” he explained.
Commenting on BJP’s opposition, he said, “That is not why I said it was a small incident. Such incidents have happened in the past. I said in that sense. Did such an incident happen in Shimoga or not? “There is no need to try to twist what has been said like that,” he said.
“If there is any suggestion in what the BJP has said, we will accept it. Please correct us if we are wrong. We work responsibly. We are maintaining peace in the state. “We are taking all measures regularly so that illegal activities do not happen,” he said.
