South Western Railway to Launch New Bidar-Yesvantpur Weekly Express Via Kalaburagi, Enhancing Regional Connectivity

South Western Railway has announced the launch of a new train service, the Yesvantpur-Bidar-Yesvantpur Weekly Express, connecting Bidar and Yesvantpur via Kalaburagi. The service, set to commence operations from November 4, is expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease travel for passengers along this route.

According to the schedule released by South Western Railway, Train No 16577, the Yesvantpur-Bidar Weekly Express, will depart from Yesvantpur at 11.15 p.m. and arrive at Bidar at 1.30 p.m. the following day. On the return journey, Train No 16578 will depart from Bidar at 2.40 p.m. and arrive at Yesvantpur at 4 a.m. the subsequent day. The train is set to make several stops en route, providing accessible transportation for passengers in various regions.

The train’s route includes crucial stops at Gauribidanur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir, Wadi, Shahabad, Kalaburagi, Kamalapur, Humnabad, and Yelahanka. This well-planned schedule aims to cater to the needs of travelers and commuters from various parts of Karnataka, providing a convenient and efficient mode of transportation between these significant destinations.

Officials have revealed that the train will feature a diverse composition, including one AC two-tier coach, two AC three-tier coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, one second-class luggage-cum-brake van with a disabled-friendly compartment, and one luggage-cum-brake van with a generator. This diverse setup is expected to accommodate the varying preferences and requirements of passengers throughout the journey.
