Village Hindu leaders drive away Hindu activists who came to disrupt non-Hindu businesses

Udupi: Religious conflicts are on the rise in recent times and religion is being linked to business. It was reported that the few villagers drove away Hindu activists who came to the Kutpadiya fair of Udyavarada to not allow the participation of people from other religions.

It is customary for all devotees to shop at Kutpadi’s Mangodu Shree Vasuki temple every year. Thousands of people participate in this fair.

This incident was reported when a Hindu leader came to protest with his supporters. Thousands of people will participate in Shashti Mahotsav.
