On Sunday, five workers were injured in a fire after an explosion at a chemical company’s plant in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, officials said.
The blast struck around 11:30 pm Saturday at a chemical plant in the Boisar industrial area, a fire brigade official said.
After being alerted, local firefighters rushed to the spot and carried out rescue and relief work.
“Five workers were burnt by the fire after the blast. A Boisar police station official said; They have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.”
He said the cause of the blast was not yet known, adding that an investigation was underway into the incident.
