On charges to failing to handle Covid pandemic, Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan resigns

New Delhi: Though Prime Minister has dropped several Ministers from his cabinet for the reshuffle to appoint new faces, the removal of Health Minister Harsh Vardhan from the Cabinet has come as a surprise.

The Vardhan who had come in the eye of the storm of the opposition parties who are alleging him of failing to manage the Covid pandemic, has finally lost his post.

The opposition parties had been criticizing the Modi government for failing to control Covid pandemic, mainly Dr. Vardhan for taking adequate steps to prevent the number of positive cases and deaths due to Covid.

 Other Minister who handed over their resignations are; Santosh Gangwar, Ramesh Pokhriyal, Sanjay Dhotre and Debashree Chaudhuri.

The submitted their resignations before the Cabinet reshuffle to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

It may be noted that Gangwar was heading the Labour Ministry and Pokhriyal was holding the charge of Education Ministry, Dhotre was the Minister of State for Education while Chaudhuri was holding the portfolio of Minister of State of Women and Child Development.
