Odisha Train Accident: Helpline information for Karnataka residents is here

Bengaluru: A terrible Odisha Train Accident took place between three trains near Bahanaga railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district. So far 233 passengers have died and more than 900 have been seriously injured.

The express train was leaving from Visvesvaraya Terminal to Howrah in West Bengal. It is suspected that there are also people from Karnataka.

The train departing from Baiyappanahalli, K.R. entered Andhra Pradesh via Pura and Bangarapet stations and headed towards Howrah. There were passengers from Karnataka on the same Howrah Express train. Besides, there are reports that Uttar Pradesh workers who were staying in Bangalore are also traveling. However, the names and addresses of the passengers are not known at the moment.

Railway department officials said that those who have information about passengers or family members can call the helpline.
