Mobile repair worker defeated CM Channi’, says Kejriwal as AAP is all set to form new govt in Punjab

While the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP’s) sweep Punjab, the party’s chief Arvind Kejriwal addressed the party workers and supporters in Delhi on Thursday. He said that a mobile repair shop worker beat Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

“Who beat Channi?” Kejriwal asked, adding, “Someone who used to work in a mobile repair shop. His mother is a sanitation worker in a government school and his father is a farm labourer. There is a lot of power in aam aadmi, don’t challenge the common man, he/she will not rest now, it’s time now for a revolution in the country, to unseat the looters.”

Asserting that AAP is changing the system of governance in the country, the Delhi CM said that the victory is an ‘inqilab’ and has shaken up many big politicians. “I congratulate my younger brother Bhagwant Singh Mann for becoming the CM of Punjab.”

“Bhagat Singh had once said that if we do not change the system after independence, then nothing will happen. The ministers had maintained the same system and did not build schools, did nothing about poverty. But AAP has changed the system in the last 7 years.”

“It is sad that our children have to go to a small country like Ukraine to study medicine even after 75 years of independence. Will make a country where children from outside come here to study,” Kejriwal said, referring to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In his speech, he promised to make a new India… “free from hate, free from hunger. Where are mothers and sisters are safe and where rich and poor children are well educated.”

The AAP convenor added that other politicians had called him a terrorist, but the country has now proved that he is a ‘deshbhakt.’
