Supreme Court quashes PIL against Congress Toolkit

New Delhi: Quashing the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against the alleged ‘Toolkit’ of the Congress, the Supreme Court called the Toolkit as mere political propaganda.

A bend of Justice D. Y. Chandrachud and M R. Shah told the petitioner that if he does not like the Toolkit, let him ignore it.

The SC also refused to handover the ‘Toolkit’ case to the National Investigation Agency.

The petitioner, Advocate Shashank Jha also wanted the Court to ban the Congress party if it is found guilty of anti national act.

The Apex Court wondered how petition undr Article 32 be entertained by the Court against any political propaganda.

He asked the petitioner if he even knew that India is a democratic country.

The Court however made it clear that a criminal investigation is already taking place for the same Toolkit case. The court rejected the plea.
