BJP Minister Shobha Karandlaje issues apology for derogatory remarks against Tamils

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje has issued an apology to the individual implicated in the Rameshwaram cafe blast on March 1, hailing from Tamil Nadu.

“It was never my intention to cause harm to my Tamil brothers and sisters. Yet, I am aware that my remarks may have caused offense to some individuals. I sincerely apologize for any hurt caused. My criticisms were directed solely towards the Krishnagiri forest trainees and the Rameshwaram cafe incident. If anyone in Tamil Nadu has been affected, I extend my heartfelt apology. I retract my previous statements,” she shared on the ‘X’ platform.

Expressing strong criticism against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for his comments targeting Hindus and BJP supporters, Shobha exclaimed, “Mr. Stalin, what progress has Tamil Nadu witnessed under your leadership? Your politics of appeasement has fueled relentless attacks on Hindus and BJP members. Amidst frequent bomb blasts resembling tactics of terrorist groups like ISIS, you choose to ignore the situation.”
