The Congress party announced 5 guarantee schemes during the Karnataka assembly elections a few months ago and saw a landslide victory. So now Congress has decided to implement the formula of ‘guarantees’ in Telangana as well, like in Karnataka.
In a huge public meeting at Tukkuguda near Hyderabad, Congress leaders on Sunday announced six guarantees for Telangana. They said that they are committed to implement these as soon as the party comes to power in the state.
Elections for 119 constituencies of Telangana Assembly are to be held in December. Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, senior leader Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi announced the six guarantees.
