New Delhi: With the Covid pandemic is hitting hard to common people which has snatched away the earning of poor people and prolonged school holidays, the UNICEF, in its report has said that while the world already has 160 million child labours, over 8.4 million children become child labours in the last four years while over a million children are at the risk of become child labour due to Covid.
The report also says that the efforts to fight against the child labour has seen a major hurdle for the first time in the last two decades because of Covid pandemic.
The report reveals that a large number of children aged between 5 and 11 have become child laborers. What is shocking is that these children are working in hazardous places which are considered unfit for the health of the children.
