BJP leader and former MP Subrahmanyam Swamy met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nabanna. A few months ago, he met the Trinamool leader once in Delhi.
They talked for about half an hour on Thursday in Navanna.
Neither of them spoke to the media after the meeting.
Swamy later tweeted, “Meet the charismatic Mamata Banerjee in Calcutta. She is a brave in character.
I appreciate the way she has dusted the communists in his fight against the CPIM. “
CPIM central committee member Sujan Chakraborty, however, commented on this day, “Earlier it was heard that Swami will come and join the stage on July 21.
He might have backed off after seeing the matter.
He said earlier, he is with the Trinamool leader even from the BJP! Who knows whether Modi’s ambassador has come to inquire or not!
State Trinamool general secretary Kunal Ghosh, however, said, “The two people are familiar with national politics in Delhi.
If you come to Calcutta, you may have a courtesy call.
What is there to discuss about this?”
