As the Lok Sabha ethics committee was preparing itself to hear for the cash-for-query allegations against Mahua Mitra, Trinamool Congress MP, there were another set of accusations that piled up against the Trinamool MP for misusing her parliamentary powers or privileges by allegedly helping the and also target its business rival which is the Adani Group.
The affidavit was filed by the CEO of Hiranandani Group, Darshan Hiranandani. He filed the affidavit on Friday by putting accusations on Mitra for taking bribes for asking questions in the parliament days after a CBI complaint by her “jilted ex” and advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai and a letter to the Lok Sabha speaker by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.
Meanwhile the ethics committee of Lok Sabha which is said to hear on this matter on October 26, told the media that it had received the affidavit of Hiranandani after the affidavit was circulated over the social media. The industrialist has also accused Mitra of putting pressures over him for some monetary benefits and passing on her parliament login credentials. While the TMC MP has denied to all these accusations and said that they are just misleading and fake news which are plotted against her by the opposing parties.
