Mahua Moitra Lok Sabha Expulsion: Both parties of TMC & BJP accuse each other of ‘Killing Democracy’

With the news of expulsion of Mohua Moitra from the Lok Sabha in connection with the cash-for-query matter, the opposition parties of Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have been involved in a heated argument by continuing with the blame game.

Both the parties are constantly accusing each other of “killing democracy”. “The way she (Mahua Moitra) used her ID and killed the democracy, a Parliamentarian should never do such a thing. For some money, she compromised with the security of the country,” Dushyant Gautam stated.

TMC State General Secretary, Social Media Cell and IT, Nilanjan Das, blamed the saffron party by stating that they have betrayed democracy and did not provide a fair chance to Moitra for explaining her stand. “Today, I am sad to see the attitude of the @BJP4India. How they betray democracy… They didn’t allow @MahuaMoitra to explain her stand. Full injustice has been done.”- @AITCofficial Chairperson @MamataOfficial on expulsion of #MahuaMoitra from Lok Sabha,” Nilanjan Das wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Friday also blamed the BJP and called Moitra’s expulsion “vendetta politics.” “This is vendetta politics of BJP. They killed democracy….It is injustice. Mahua will win the battle. The people will give justice. They (BJP) will be defeated in the next election,” TMC chairperson Mamata Banerjee stated.
