The CBI arrested TMC Leader Anuvrata Mondal in the cow smuggling case.It happened on the morning of Rakhi Purnima on Thursday for non-cooperation in the investigation.
Anubrata was picked up in a car and taken to the CBI camp office in Durgapur. He will be further interrogated there.
Shortly before 10 am on Thursday, CBI officials reached the house of Anuvratar Neechupatti with central forces. CBI officials entered Anuvrata’s house and locked all the doors of the house. The mobile phones of everyone in the house were taken away. The situation was such that even Anuvrata’s bodyguards could not enter the house.
Later, however, the head of Anubrata’s bodyguards was allowed inside.After an hour, Anubrata was taken out of the house and Placed in CBI car.
It is known that after taking him to the CBI camp office in Durgapur, the CBI officials will interrogate him there.
Earlier, the CBI took custody of Anubrata Mandal’s close bodyguard Saigal. According to his sources, the target of CBI was embarrassed to find the money of the cow smuggling case.
