West Bengal branch of SIO called for the Bikash Bhavan campaign

On the one hand, there is a mountain of corruption in the appointment of teachers, and on the other hand, the learning environment in educational institutions is corrupt. At present, the bad condition of education and employment in West Bengal is very worrying. In this situation, the Students Islamic Organization of India, West Bengal branch has raised the voice of the student movement under the title “Revaluation of Education, Better Education and Eradication of Unemployment”.

This all-India based student organization feels that the education system has now been turned into an arena of corruption.
Qualified candidates have been deprived of crores of rupees of corruption for the recruitment of teachers. On the one hand, schools are suffering from lack of qualified teachers, on the other hand, job seekers are forced to go on hunger strike on the streets of Kolkata to demand recruitment. A large number of vacancies have been created in village schools for the transfer of teachers through the Utsashree scheme. There has been a huge increase in school dropouts across the state post-Corona. The government is completely apathetic in controlling school dropouts.
Religious discrimination is rampant in education. Nursing students are subjected to mental torture for wearing hijab.

They also claimed that Minority Status of Alia University is still not confirmed. The overall infrastructure of the university is crumbling. West Bengal government has announced many universities including Murshidabad but has not yet taken steps to build proper infrastructure.
On the other hand, the central government is trying to impose a particular ideology on everyone through the National Education Policy. Recruiting contract troops into the country’s army is pushing the country towards military violence.

Keeping all these factors in mind, SIO is conducting Education Movement 2022 across the state from August 11, said Sabir Ahmed, state president of the organization.
He also said, “To meet the demands of the education movement, we have called for the Assembly campaign on August 25. The procession will gather at College Square at 1 pm on that day and will leave for the Assembly.”

The press conference was attended by All India General Secretary Syed Muzakkir Ahmed, State President Sabir Ahmed and various state level leaders of the organization.
