Yogi has become a ‘disease’ for the society and humanity – D K. Shivakumar

BELAGAVI; 02 Oct: Making a strong remark against the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, KPCC President, D. K. Shivakumar has said that Yogi rule has brought disgrace to India and humanity.

Addressing presspersons on Friday before participating in the inauguration programme of the party’s new office, he said that Yogi has become a ‘disease’ for the society and humanity.

He was referring to the incident of brutal rape of Dalit girl and later her death during treatment in Uttar Pradesh.

Shivakumar said that it is not the matter any girl or a Dalit girl, but a matter of dignity of women.

“ The Yogi Government has ashamed the humanity. I have no words to describe his misrule”, he asserted.

With regard to the coming by-election in Belagavi after the demise of MP, Suresh Angadi due to Covid infection, Shivakumar said that he would talk to all leaders of the party and elicit their opinion on fielding a suitable candidate for the polls.

Mentioning about the death of Angadi, he criticized the BJP government of State and Centre for not bringing the body to Belagavi to perform last rites.

He said that the body could have been properly packed and brought to his native place for performing last rites and allowing his family members and his fans to become part of the ritual.

“ The government has made injustice to the family and followers by not bringing the body of Angadi to his native place. When the government has made injustice to the family of their own MP, how can we expect the government to do justice to common people”, Shivakumar said.

On the complaint of the people against the government of not giving adequate compensation to flood affected persons, Shivakumar said that what is the use of having so many BJP MP and party ruling in State and Centre when they could not bring funds for flood victims.

He said that the people of the State and Belagavi district will teach them a lesson in the coming days.
