Ahmedabad: PM Modi and Australian PM attend the start of the fourth test match in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series

The India-Australia Test began on Thursday in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese in attendance.

Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, was welcomed by PM Modi at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
In a chariot, the two PMs circled the pitch once. The thousands of spectators in attendance in the largest cricket stadium in the world, cheered as the two dignitaries circled the playing field on a golf car.

Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith, the respective team captains, received Test caps from Modi and Albanese. A staggering 1.32 lakh people showed up at the stadium to watch the game. Before the match started, Modi and Albanese met with the players.

The Australian Prime Minister thanked PM Modi for inviting him to visit India on his four-day state visit and expressed his excitement for the fourth cricket Test match between Australia and India in Ahmedabad.
